写真集『月の裏側へ』は約10年間撮り溜められた写真から構成されています。

写っているのは身近な人との関係や作者の空想、そしてこの世界のどこかに佇む人や建物の風景です。写真は大抵の場合目に見えるものしか写せません。それでもこの写真集ではその奥にある過去の時間や日々の重さ、言葉にならない感情の輪郭に触れようとしています。

タイトルは、私たちが目の前の対象をその内側にある感情や経験、歴史までは見ることができず、想像するしかないことを地球からは見えない月の裏側になぞらえています。

The photobook To the Far Side of the Moon is composed of photographs taken over roughly ten years.

Its pages hold close personal relationships, the author's imaginings, and scenes of people and buildings standing quietly somewhere in this world. In most cases, a photograph can only record what is visible. Even so, this book tries to touch the outline of what lies beneath: time that has passed, the weight of everyday life, feelings that resist words.

The title likens the far side of the moon, never visible from Earth, to our own limits: we cannot see the feelings, experiences, and histories held inside the people and things before us, and can only imagine them.
